  1. CCS (conduct) Rules 1964
  2. CCS(CCA) Rules 1965
  3. Complaint in the form of public grievances, allegations of corruption against gazetted and non-gazetted officers under Deptt. of Consumer Affairs
  4. Court cases and carrying out preliminary investigations ancillary to disciplinary proceedings having vigilance angles only.
  5. Appointment of Chief Vigilance Officer & Vigilance Officer in the office/Public Sector Undertaking under the administrative control of Deptt.
  6. Disciplinary proceedings (having vigilance angle only) concerned against gazetted officers in or under the Deptt  and cases investigated in the CBI and departmental enquires from time to time.
  7. To maintain APAR/ACR in r/o all Gazetted and Non-Gazetted Officers of the Department ofline and online (SAPRROW Portal). It includes disclosure and safe custody of the APAR in the Department and transmitting to DOP&T/Cadre Controlling Authority along with Data inputs in the web based software solution for Cadre management of CSS Officers (maintained by DOP&T).
  8. To examine/scrutinize intimation/permission for sale/purchase in r/o Movable/Immovable properties and to maintain Annual Income Property Return.
  9. Annual Vigilance Inspections of attached/subordinate offices.
  10. Various vigilance reports and returns to be submitted to DOP&T and CVC etc.
  11. Anti-corruption activities in consultation with CBI/CVC.
  12. Issue of vigilance clearance, Major/Minor penalty Certificate and Integrity Certificate in r/o all Officers under this Department.
  13. Assistance to CBI.
  14. Vigilance set-up declaration and staffing.
  15. General Vigilance Administration.
