 G.S.R.551(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 83 of the Standards of Weights and Measures Act 1976 (60 of 1976), the Central Government, with a view to extend the date of the amendment made in the Explanation to sub-rule (1) of rule 10 of the Standards of Weights and Measures (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 1977 to protect the interest of the manufacturers, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (Department of Consumer Affairs), number G.S.R. 632 (E), dated the 2^nd September, 2009, namely:-

In the said notification, in paragraph 2, for the figures, letters and word “1^st July, 2010” the figures, letters and word “1^st October, 2010” shall be substituted.
